Conan Exiles Enhanced Server Migration Guide
Move a save from a Conan Exiles Legacy server to a Conan Exiles Enhanced server. The first Enhanced startup converts your save one-way — the converted save will not load back on Legacy.
Before you migrate
- Make sure your Legacy source server is on Exiled Lands, not Isle of Siptah. Move characters off Siptah first if needed.
- Stop the Legacy source server.
- Stop the Enhanced target server.
- Back up the source's
ConanSandbox\Saved\folder. Keep it until you've verified the Enhanced server in-game.
Same-machine migration (in-panel)
If both servers are on the same machine and on the same Survival Servers account:
- Open your Conan Exiles Enhanced server in the control panel.
- Click Migration Tools on the Transferring from Legacy? alert.
- Pick your Legacy source server from the dropdown.
- Click Copy Save to Enhanced.
- Click Save and restart server on the Enhanced server.
- Join in-game and verify your save.
The dialog will tell you exactly what's blocking the copy if anything is — running source, Siptah map, active panel task, or the Enhanced target already has a converted save.
Cross-host migration (FTP upload)
Use this if your source server is on another host or another machine:
- Stop both servers.
- Download
ConanSandbox\Saved\game.dbfrom the source (FTP or file manager). Grabgame.db-walandgame.db-shmtoo if they're present. - On the Enhanced server, click Open Save Folder in the migration dialog (or open the file manager directly).
- Upload the file(s) into
ConanSandbox\Saved\. - Click Save and restart server on the Enhanced server.
- Join in-game and verify your save.
If the Enhanced target already has a save you want to keep, back up its ConanSandbox\Saved\ folder first. The in-panel tool does this automatically; manual uploaders need to do it themselves.
Mods
Legacy mods will not load on Enhanced until the author re-cooks them. Remove incompatible mods before first startup. See Installing Workshop Mods on Conan Exiles Enhanced.
