Your game server will come with the following, instantly available features:
If you rent a server before October 15, there is nothing to move over. Your world lives on the server and your character lives on your PC, so both carry into 1.0 as they are. On launch day the server updates to the 1.0 build: restart it once your game has updated on Steam and you are back in.
Rent an Enshrouded server now and it carries straight into 1.0 with nothing to migrate. Same control panel, same world settings, and the server picks up the 1.0 build on launch day.
Our servers are PC (Steam) dedicated servers for 1 to 16 players. Keen Games has not announced crossplay or a way for PlayStation 5 players to join dedicated servers. We will update this page if that changes.
Every world setting is in the control panel. Pick a difficulty preset, or switch to Custom and adjust around 35 individual settings, from how long a day lasts to enemy health to what you drop when you die. Admin and player passwords are managed for you, and none of that changes at 1.0.
Switch locations any time. DDoS protection available.
Enshrouded is a game of survival, crafting, and Action RPG combat, set within a sprawling voxel-based continent. As you journey across the mountains and deserts of an open world, you are free to choose your path and shape your destiny
Enshrouded leaves early access on October 15, 2026, when 1.0 releases on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5, with Xbox Series X|S following in spring 2027. Keen Games is previewing the changes ahead of launch, including a round of performance work. We have hosted Enshrouded servers since the early access launch on January 24, 2024.
From the SurvivalServers Wiki
Enshrouded supports up to 16 players on a single dedicated server. The slotCount setting controls the maximum player count. For optimal performance, servers for 4-6 players need 16GB RAM, while 16-player servers require more powerful hardware.
While Enshrouded supports peer-to-peer co-op, dedicated servers allow your friends to play even when you're offline. This is ideal for groups who want a persistent world available 24/7 without requiring the host to be online.
No. Enshrouded has no official mod support and no Steam Workshop, and that is still the case at 1.0. Our servers run the standard game files, and everything you change is done through the world settings in the control panel: difficulty presets, around 35 custom settings, and the admin and player passwords.
No, Enshrouded is designed as a cooperative PvE experience with no PvP mode planned. The developers believe experiencing the game together is more fun than fighting against each other.

Not yet: Enshrouded 1.0 releases October 15, 2026 on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5, with Xbox Series X|S following in spring 2027. Until then the game is in early access and our servers run the current early access build. Yes, your world stays on the server and there is nothing to migrate. On October 15 the server needs the 1.0 build before it shows in the in-game browser again: if Server Update (Automatic) is turned on in your control panel, a restart pulls the new build and applies it; if it is off, press Update in the panel and then restart. Either way it is one step, and you may need to do it once after Steam updates the game on your PC.
