With the most recent overhaul to Space Engineer's Multiplayer, a RCON tool was added to allow server admins to administer their server to some degree remotely.
It is important to note that remote API will not work properly when torch is enabled.
How to Get the RCON Tool
- Download the zip file from here
- Extract the downloaded zip file/folder to a location on your computer (you may be prompted from windows with a security warning, click on "run anyway")
- Run the update.bat file
- To start the program simply run the VRageRemoteClient.exe
How to connect and use RCON
- In Remote URL enter http://SERVERS_IP_ADDRESS
- In Security Key enter the servers security key (This key needs to be exactly 8 characters long) "The remote security key can be found in SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg using FTP"
- In Port, enter the RCON Port from your control panel
- Hit “save” then “connect”
