Quad Core processor (requires up to 2 full cores)

Up to 16 GB memory (currently uses around 4 GB memory minimum and up to 8 GB of memory for a full server)

20 GB disk space (install folder)

Step 1: Fetching Game Server files from SteamCMD

The best method to get dedicated server game files is via SteamCMD.

  1. Create a folder where you wish to store your Last Oasis game server hosting files in
  2. Inside of the folder, create a folder called SteamCMD and place the newly downloading SteamCMD.exe file within it
  3. Create a batch file named SteamCMD.bat within the SteamCMD folder
  4. Place the following code in this batch file:
@echo off
start "" steamcmd.exe +login username password +force_install_dir "C:\LastOasisServer" +app_update 920720 validate +quit
  1. Change the "Username" and "Password" with your steam login info
  2. Change the Path of the C:\ drive to the location of your Last Oasis server folder you created earlier
  3. Right-click SteamCMD.bat and Run as Administrator
  4. Your game server files should start downloading now

Step 2: Obtain Customer and Provider Key via MyRealm

1. You will need to obtain a key in order to run your Oasis server. Which can be obtained through an account on MyRealm.
1.a Make sure to have your steam account details ready to log into the site.
2. If you get the following error: “A Last Oasis account is required, run the game client to create one”. Make sure to run the game in steam first than re try the website.
3. Click the get started button once you are able to sign in without getting the error.

3.a Click the Hosting and Providers options. Within here you will see the Customer Key that you will need for your server. So make sure to copy this down.

4. Now click the Add Provider Key option to the next of the Customer Key.
4.a Add a Name and Description to your liking and click add.

Step 3: Setting up a Last Oasis Dedicated Server

  1. Create a batch file named Launch.bat in your newly created Last Oasis server folder from step 1
  2. Place the following code in this batch file:
MistServer.exe -log -force_steamclient_link -messaging -NoLiveServer -EnableCheats -backendapiurloverride="" -identifier=LastOasisServer -port=5555 -CustomerKey=Costomer Key -ProviderKey=Provider Key -slots=10 -QueryPort=27015 -OverrideConnectionAddress"
  1. Make sure to add your CustomerKey and ProviderKey to the launch line where specified.
  2. Once this is completed you should have a list of server files along with the .bat file you created in the server folder.
This .bat file will let you launch the server

Step 3: Port Forwarding

Add an incoming rule to your Windows Firewall to allow UDP port 27015 as well as 5555 (or whichever port you decide to use).

You may additionally need to add a forwarding rule to your network router. You can use to read how to do this.
