Your game server will come with the following, instantly available features:
The Island comes pre-installed on every server. Switch to any other official map from the control panel — each map keeps its own save, so you can switch back later without losing progress. Map updates are released the same day, no waiting around.
Waiting on a classic map? Fjordur, Crystal Isles, and Lost Island have not been remastered for ARK: Survival Ascended yet — track their status on our Fjordur, Crystal Isles, and Lost Island pages. The moment Wildcard ships one, it goes live on our panel as a one-click map switch.
Switch locations any time. DDoS protection available.
ARK: Survival Ascended is the complete Unreal Engine 5 remake of ARK: Survival Evolved. Hunt, harvest, craft, tame dinosaurs, and build shelters to survive — with full crossplay between PC and consoles.
Every gameplay option in GameUserSettings.ini and Game.ini is editable from our control panel with the ARK: Survival Ascended Server Config tool — no file editing required, though full FTP access is there whenever you want it. These are the settings that change how your server plays:
XP, taming, harvesting, and resource respawn multipliers let you run anything from a grindy vanilla world to a fast boosted weekend server.
Egg hatch speed, baby maturation, imprinting intervals, and mating cooldowns are among the most-tuned settings in ARK — shorten them when your tribe starts chasing perfect stat lines.
Set the difficulty offset and max wild dino level, toggle PvP or PvE, friendly fire, offline raid protection, and structure damage rules.
Day and night cycle speeds, weather intensity, platform saddle limits, and tribe size caps round out the world tuning.
ARK: Survival Ascended dedicated servers support full crossplay — Steam, Microsoft Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 players all survive on the same server. Console players join through the in-game unofficial server browser.
Add a cluster game server and transfer survivors, items, and dinos between worlds in a few clicks — run The Island and Scorched Earth side by side like the official cluster networks.
Your tribes, tames, and bases persist server-side with automatic database backups every 30 minutes, kept for 5 days.
Migrate an existing single-player or non-dedicated world to the server over FTP, or download the server save any time as your own backup before a big patch.
What does it actually take to run a smooth ARK: Survival Ascended server? A lot more than the original. The Unreal Engine 5 rebuild simulates the full world server-side, and memory use grows with map size, mods, and tames.
From the SurvivalServers Wiki
ARK: Survival Ascended is a complete remake of ARK: Survival Evolved built in Unreal Engine 5. It features dramatically improved graphics, cross-platform multiplayer, and enhanced mod support through CurseForge. It runs on current-gen platforms only, and its servers have much higher hardware requirements than the original game.
Yes! ARK: Survival Ascended supports full crossplay between Steam, Microsoft Store (Game Pass), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. All platforms play together on the same server — console players join through the in-game unofficial server browser. Note that ASA is current-gen only; PS4 and Xbox One are limited to ARK: Survival Evolved.
Yes! ASA has robust mod support through CurseForge. Add mod IDs in our control panel and they download automatically when the server starts, staying updated after that. Mods work with crossplay enabled, and console-compatible mods are marked on CurseForge. Custom CurseForge maps and Club ARK are supported too.
All 10 official maps: The Island, Scorched Earth, The Center, Ragnarok, Aberration, Extinction, Valguero, Genesis Ascended, Astraeos, and Lost Colony — plus any custom CurseForge map. Switch between them in one click from our control panel, and each map keeps its own save so you never lose progress.
ARK: Survival Ascended servers require significantly more resources than the original — 16GB of RAM is the working baseline, with more for large maps and heavy mod lists. Our servers use NVMe SSDs and the latest high-clock Intel/AMD processors to handle ASA's demanding Unreal Engine 5 simulation.
